My name is Barnabas Collins.

Redundant, perhaps, but should I suffer from amnesia, as has the new governess, a reminder of my proper name might prove a necessity.  The carriage transporting her overturned, killing all save her.  I have no idea what the fashion is from whence she came, but I must make a note to visit before Josette and I marry.  Even in Martinique, I rarely saw the indecent display of ankle, let alone calf, as she displayed.  (This bears further investigation in the next month, and pardon my licentiousness in admitting as much.)
